Steve met Christine after winning the UFC title for the the west coast ‘LDS’ Division. She fell in love with his left hook and it was over….. well It may have been a little less dramatic, but they met through a friend, fell in love and are happily ever after. The San Diego LDS temple was totally covered in scaffolding but we still got so many great shots. Here a few of the ones that I thought you all might like. Enjoy!

: Coming out of the LA Temple

They call her “Two Scoops” for a reason. Luckily John shares Heidi’s love for ice cream and love for serving others. It was fun hanging out in Santa Monica after the temple ceremony, enjoying some Didi Riese and learning about their plans to bring medical aid to Africa. These two are going to make a difference in the world! Hope you enjoy some of their images on their special day.

Very Sad News

A few weeks ago I had to turn down a wonderful Bride to Be who was really looking forward for us to work together. Well, I just found out that my new friend was diagnosed with breast cancer last week. After further inspection they found bone cancer and a tumor on her spine. It’s hard to believe what it might feel like to receive this kind of news 6 weeks before the happiest day of your life.

She’s getting sealed at the Newport temple on August 21st and is still without a photographer. Originally she had made it clear that her wedding day pictures were the most important part of her wedding. Obviously, she does not have the emotional strength to worry about booking someone else, so i’m calling on all of you to think of any really creative and polished photographers that you know that would be willing to shoot her wedding day. I’m not sure how much time she would want coverage at this point but she had wanted 6 hours of coverage and no reception pictures within her budget. Thank you for your consideration and please keep her in your prayers. I will keep everyone updated as best as i can on our progress.

I didn’t want to let these guys go to their reception – we were having so much fun. A classic cherry car, kicking up dirt in the fields of Santa Margarita, and an awesome couple made for one of favorite shoots of the spring so far. I just wish they’d let me make them an album! Courtney and Dave had been dating in Hawaii in Laeia (I spent a few months there myself) where they were lucky enough to fall in love. Now they’ve changed it up with a little Provo weather before hopefully moving back to Mission Viejo, CA. Hope you enjoy their day….

Classic Car Wedding Newport

We had so much fun with this cherry red classic in the fields of a catholic private school I scouted out the week before. I’m glad Dave was so willing to take it “off road” for these shots. Definitely worth it. I hope this one makes it as a big metallic print on a thick canvas wrap… I just may blow it up for my own home and put me and cathy’s faces on it… Too many weddings to post lately – but it’s coming soon.

Baby Braeden Banville

It’s been a heck of a busy month. Tiz the season, you might say. With several posts currently in the works for this week, the first I give to you…at long last….is baby Braeden! The proud parents, Carrie and James Banville, called me months before Braeden was born to secure a spot. When I got there, I was having so much fun, I stayed longer than normal to catch a few extras. Couldn’t help myself. They probably wanted to kick me out by the end of the shoot They are SUPER cool parents and Cath and I are excited to hang with them. Usually newborns konk right out when we turn up the heat and get them cozy for the shoot but Braeden didn’t want to miss a thing. That’s my kind of kid. Had a blast with this one, what a cutie.

I have to say, nice work to these guys for putting on a truly awesome day! From the accessories, to the style, the home-dyed Vans, the friends and family who put the reception together…. I really had a blast getting to know this couple. And I’ve never met a more willing and wild group of groomsmen who I had to convince not to jump off the 15 foot scaffolding into the mud for the sake of the pictures. I have soooo many images I want to post between me and my second shooter, Brian Norton (who did a superb job),…. so I’m going to skip some of the details and same old shots and just fill this page with pure fun-loving awesomeness. Enjoy. MR. and MRS. Carpenter – Thanks for letting me spend the day with you guys… and for the Double Double.

Rachael contacted me with a simple request…. “Is there anyway you take some cool pictures of us as if it was our wedding day again?…. “ I have to say, these are some of my all time favorite pics. I hope no one minds if i hit these spots up again. I spent seriously 3 days looking for these two locations and I’m so glad we didn’t go to laguna beach. Enjoy!

Okay so my amazing and lovely wife put me up to a challenge. If i can get 1000 fans by the end of June, I can buy my dream lens (Cannon 50mm F1.2). So what I’m going to do is post a few pics of anyone I’ve shot in the past 5 years and the ones with the most comments after a full week, Sunday morning to Sunday morning (whenever I wake up), will win an 11×14 print!
