Baby Braeden Banville

It’s been a heck of a busy month. Tiz the season, you might say. With several posts currently in the works for this week, the first I give to you…at long last….is baby Braeden! The proud parents, Carrie and James Banville, called me months before Braeden was born to secure a spot. When I got there, I was having so much fun, I stayed longer than normal to catch a few extras. Couldn’t help myself. They probably wanted to kick me out by the end of the shoot :) They are SUPER cool parents and Cath and I are excited to hang with them. Usually newborns konk right out when we turn up the heat and get them cozy for the shoot but Braeden didn’t want to miss a thing. That’s my kind of kid. Had a blast with this one, what a cutie.

Jaime and Danny blew this day away!

I have to say, nice work to these guys for putting on a truly awesome day!  From the accessories, to the style, the home-dyed Vans, the friends and family who put the reception together….  I really had a blast getting to know this couple.  And I’ve never met a more willing and wild group of groomsmen who I had to convince not to jump off the 15 foot scaffolding into the mud for the sake of the pictures.  I have soooo many images I want to post between me and my second shooter, Brian Norton (who did a superb job),…. so I’m going to skip some of the details and same old shots and just fill this page with pure fun-loving awesomeness.  Enjoy.   MR. and MRS. Carpenter – Thanks for letting me spend the day with you guys… and for the Double Double.

Yeah , that train scared me good..  I barely had time to jump out of the way, switch to shutter speed priority and nail this shot at 1/30 of a second

Quick and sweet reception..  Wish I had time to grab one of these.

Can’t get enough of this one!  He stayed awake for the whole shoot, but when we took him outside and placed him in the plants, he drifted off.  Don’t ask…  adorable baby huh?!

Rachael and Steve – One more time!

Rachael contacted me with a simple request….  “Is there anyway you take some cool pictures of us as if it was our wedding day again?….  “    I have to say, these are some of my all time favorite pics.  I hope no one minds if i hit these spots up again.  I spent seriously 3 days looking for these two locations and I’m so glad we didn’t go to laguna beach.  Enjoy!

I must say, this is my absolutely favorite wedding picture of all time. I love photos that make you think there is a story to it, something that makes you ponder. I get a sense of a midevil time here. The Camelot~esk city in the background, and Stephen standing watch over his bride with hawk-like featherd wings draped over his shoulders. Makes me feel like he, with his magical powers of protection had just been flying over that massive field watching, and swooped down and landed beside his princess bride to watch and protect her from any unsuspecting dangers. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it! FANTASTIC Photo~truly a work of art!

Become a fan of Burnt Exposure on Facebook and get a free print! well… after you read the fine print.

Okay so my amazing and lovely wife put me up to a challenge. If i can get 1000 fans by the end of June, I can buy my dream lens (Cannon 50mm F1.2). So what I’m going to do is post a few pics of anyone I’ve shot in the past 5 years and the ones with the most comments after a full week, Sunday morning to Sunday morning (whenever I wake up), will win an 11×14 print! So start off by becoming a fan and tell your friends cause you never know when your picture is going to pop up.

hmmmm… Maybe you can pick a shot of mine that you’d actually want landscape or some other bride if your into that and we’ll just pretend. You’d have a pretty good chance of winning so long as you pick a good picture.
